SOFTSWISS has received a betting and casino licence for Serbia, which expands the brand’s presence in local regulated markets. The license was issued by the Games of Chance Administration (GCA) of the Ministry of Finance and Economy to organize special games of chance through electronic communication means in the country. Received in August 2021, this makes the third licence this year. Earlier in the year the brand officially entered the markets of Nigeria and Greece.
The licence gives the opportunity to operate in Serbia for 10 years. The software platform was certified by a competent state laboratory as a prerequisite to obtaining the licence. SOFTSWISS is the first company in Serbia licensed to operate exclusively online.
Thanks to the licence, the SOFTSWISS team plans to soon announce the first iGaming brand on the Serbian market with a partner company. The project, which is still under development, will integrate local payment methods as well as a monitoring and information exchange system with the Games of Chance Administration.
Ivan Montik, Founder of SOFTSWISS, commented on this achievement: "Entering the Serbian market is another important step towards strengthening and expanding the SOFTSWISS brand in Europe. We were the first to be licensed as a purely online operator rather than growing out of the classic land-based casino model. Having more than 10 years of experience in online entertainment, strong team, energy, drive and innovative approach in our DNA I can say that SOFTSWISS will deliver the best online solutions for operators and players in the market. This year is notable for several big milestones that allowed SOFTSWISS to gain a foothold on local markets, where we see great potential for growth. In addition to Serbia, the brand was successfully licensed in Nigeria and Greece. All these milestones are a part of the company's global development strategy aimed at expanding the SOFTSWISS brand’s presence on local markets.”
